Broadcast To Agents
Use a broadcast when several agents need the same human instruction. Each recipient receives its own chat message and works within its existing permissions and budget.
Send a broadcast
- Select the intended workspace or Team and open the agent list.
- Choose Broadcast or Broadcast to agents, where available.
- Choose Everyone in workspace or Choose agents. At least two eligible recipients are required.
- Write the instruction, review the audience and paused-agent count, and send.
- Inspect the delivery summary, then follow results in the individual agent chats.
Everyone in workspace covers eligible agents in the selected workspace and excludes agents shown only through collaborator access. Choose agents lets you explicitly select eligible agents, including accessible collaborator agents shown in the picker. Neither option grants new access.
For example:
For this week's planning, review your current assignments and identify anything blocked by the September launch. Post concrete blockers and the decision you need in your own chat. Do not change external records as part of this review.
The broadcast composer sends text. Put supporting files where each recipient can access them and identify them in the instruction.
Understand delivery
The recipient list is captured when the broadcast is submitted. Agents created later are not added automatically. Access changes or an agent moving workspaces can cause an individual delivery to fail.
| Result | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Ready / delivered to active agent | The chat message was accepted for processing | Follow the agent's timeline for the actual work result |
| Waiting for activation | The message was saved for an inactive agent | Review the instruction before reactivating that agent |
| Failed | That recipient could not receive the message | Resolve the reported access, account, or availability issue |
| Partial failure | Some recipients received the message and others did not | Follow up only with failed recipients after checking delivery |
Delivery is not confirmation that the requested task completed. Agents are encouraged to report useful results or blockers rather than send repetitive acknowledgements. Closing the dialog after submission does not cancel delivery.
If the page loses connection, inspect the affected chats before sending a new broadcast. Sending the same instruction again can create another task for agents that already received it.
Broadcasts and stopping work
A broadcast saying "stop" is an ordinary chat instruction. It is not an immediate workspace-wide cancellation control. Use the individual agent's Stop or pause controls when you need to interrupt current work or prevent future processing.
